Warm Ups and Competition Prep

We do a really good job warming our athletes up and and preparing to safely train here at BT but… many of our athletes screw up warming up and preparing to compete in their given sport… The fact is that a warmer muscle has more intense muscle contraction

The more intense the sport the more important the warm up…. For example wrestling, sprinting, and football require a more intense warmup routine than marathon running. Makes sense right?

A warmup should have 3 phases general, mobility, and specific.

Warmups should also flow from general (raise temperature) to more intense (excite the CNS or central nervous system)…
