Below is a short video of Ryan Chin training for the 60 yard dash on Saturday morning… Ryan’s best time so far has been a 6.58.
Once the fundamentals are mastered we are constantly tweaking the details to shave off time… Take a look at the video below as I did a quick analysis of 2 of Ryan’s sprints. The work out was as follows:
-warmup
-4×30 yards rolling start with walk back @ 70%, 80%, 90%, 95-100%
-Impulse drill with water bottle x 10
All from lateral start…
-2×30 yards timing the last 20 yards
-1×40 yards timing the last 20
-1×50 yards timing the last 20
-1×60 yards timing the last 20 and the whole 60
-1×70 yards timing the last 20 and the whole 70
We then record the times to refer to week to week or month to month. Times are with an auto timer.
