Nutrition is one of those topics that everybody overcomplicates.
Can it get complicated with a specific health issue or a super advanced athlete that is trying to improve performance by 1% to make an extra million dollars? Of course…
However, the vast majority of people Ive worked with including athletes eat like shit and don’t need a complex nutrition program. Its like going bird hunting with a machine gun… Haha, If you don’t get it.. Im trying to say that its overkill. The people that could really benefit from a meticulously planned program would be the wrestlers during their season.
Ok on to the 2 simple things just about everybody can do to clean up their nutrition…
1- Drink water 50% to 100% of bodyweight per day depending on activity level and climate. This will help you avoid drinking shit you shouldn’t be drinking and most of everybody doesn’t drink enough water.
2- Don’t eat processed food (or drink processed drinks) If you have to ask if its considered processed food than it probably is. Just by avoiding processed food you will literally eliminate preservatives, man made oils, added sugars, dyes, MSG, and stabilizers and when you eat fresh food you will be getting more nutrients in every bite!
Thats it don’t over complicate it! Just these two changes will take 90% of you to another level in nutrition.
